Exhibition Companies with more than 400 mill Euro Turnover
When it comes to turnover figures in the global exhibition scene things are not that easy. Nevertheless it is clear that in the past year 2008 four exhibition groups reached a turnover of more than 400 million Euro.
Whereas Reed Exhibitions step by step approaches the barrier of 900 million Euro, GL events had a less successful year 2008 due to a minus of 14.4 % in the event services sector.
Düsseldorf enjoyed an all-time high with consolidated revenues totalling up to around 460 million Euro for Messe Düsseldorf Group (final official figure to be published soon). This level was never reached before by any German exhibition company. The 2009 results will be more modest again due to the cycle of events. Messe Frankfurt shows a steady growth, for the first time ever reaching more than 100 million Euro with its activities abroad.
The turnover of Fiera Milano Group, having reached 303 million Euro in 2007, will be published in mid March only.
